Transcript
A party of slaves belonging near Henderson were last week detected in making preparations for a stampede. It seems that for some time they had been committing depredations on the pig styes and poultry yards, of their masters, and disposed of them to procure the funds to enable them to escape. They were put on trial, found guilty and sentenced to receive a whipping.
