CLINTON The county seat of Henry county, situated on Grand river and the Osage Valley and Southern Kansas Railroad, 200 miles from St. Louis and 75 from Jefferson City. There is one stage line from Clinton to Georgetown, distance 45 miles. It contains one church, (Methodist,) one weekly newspaper, the Clinton Journal, published every Friday by J.E. Olney, one high school, one Masonic Lodge, No. 68, one brick yard, one drug store, one steam flouring mill, one grocery, three general stores and two hotels. Population 300. R.Kelso, Marshal.
