NEW BOSTON, a thriving post-village of Mercer county, Illinois, is situated on the Mississippi river, 156 miles N.W. from Springfield. It is a place of much activity in business, at which a large quantity of produce is bought and shipped.   The adjacent country is fertile, and rapidly improving.
