MORRIS, a thriving post-village, capital of Grundy co., Illinois, in on the Illinois and Michigan canal, 62 miles S. W. from Chicago. It is the principal shipping point for the grain of Grundy county. The Chicago and Rock Island railroad passes through the village. About 400,000 dollars' worth of produce was received here in 1852.
