It is situated at the s. end of a beautiful prairie, and contains a court house of brick, 2 stories high, a jail, 4 churches— 1 Presbyterian, 1 Methodist, 1 Episcopal, and 1 Campbellite—150 dwellings, and about 1,000 inhabitants.
